Theme: The Artist’s Journey Toward Wholeness
The Gorski Retrospective presents the life’s work of American expressionist Henry Gorski, interpreted through the lens of the Formal Theory.
His vivid canvases — of pain, rebellion, passion, and reconciliation — unfold as a three-act drama of the soul: from oppression and anger, through anxiety and temptation, to forgiveness and peace.
The exhibit culminates in The Kiss of God, a symbol of unity between opposites and the triumph of love as the moral resolution of life’s conflicts.
“Every artist is a scientist of the soul, measuring the physics of feeling.”
